Did a brand new jinuwine gm water pump on a 2006 duramax, 340k (at the time) on the original engine, basically untouched I can't see behind it to tell where its coming from but i'm assuming from the water pump seal Ignore the rusty staining, last 500mi before i tore it down it was being topped off with straight water then.

Water pump leak or no I'm having a hell of time locating a coolant leak on my 2006 lbz It is coming from the general area of the water pump, but i don't see any coolant leaking from weep hole I used a camera probe and saw a little bit of water inside the weep hole, but i don't know if that is enough to say that the water pump is bad.
What sort of structure above and behind the water pump could leak coolant
My leak appears to be coming off the back side of the pump housing, but originating above the area that i can see with a mirror Surely somebody out there in cyberspace has seem the dark side of the moon behind the water pump and could direct me on this.
